The Grains Collection
The Grains collection was born from shared moments of reflection, observation, and quiet inquiry around Ourfa embroidery. Beyond its intricate technique and highly articulated imagery, we asked ourselves what it is we are truly drawn to: what continues to speak, across time and place. The making of this collection followed no straight line, but moved in circles, returning again and again, in continuous attempts to look deeper into its essence.
The Grains began with a table runner and slowly grew into a body of work centered around the table — a place where the most precious things are shared with those with whom we break bread: meals, time, memories.
Grain is a fundamental part of our culture, and it grew into the foundation of this collection, flowing naturally from textile into ceramic forms. For the first time at OCHRE, the collection is imagined as a universe — shaped by the artist’s intuition and brought into being through collaboration with artisan and our team.
The collection reflects our way of thinking: a dialogue made tangible, crystallized in form and material. It is an ongoing attempt that has shaped our lives over the past years, and we hope it will offer a similar quiet transformation to you, nourishing the way you see, feel, and think.
